THE BOOK OF REVELATION
THE GOSPEL OF LOVE
What does it mean to be a follower of Jesus Christ in the 21st century? What does it mean to believe in God? The Gospel of Love pulls and pushes the reader to more than a fresh translation of the Gospel of John. It treads a new path of interfaith experience by telescoping to the core of the Gospel through the non-theistic lens of Buddhism. The result? A challenging call to all Christians to live the ultimate truth of the Gospel in every moment of our lives.
The final book of the Bible has challenged, inspired, and astonished readers for nearly 2000 years. The book of Revelation may be the most analyzed text in all of Scripture. And yet it remains the most mysterious. Now comes a graphic novel version of this amazing book, including all 404 verses of this scriptural masterpiece. Stand in the Apostle John's sandals and watch the New Testament's climactic war between good and evil unfold in dramatic and dazzling imagery.
Including a translation by Fr. Mark Arey and Fr. Philemon Sevastiades, an adaptation by Matt Dorff, and illustrations by renowned artist Chris Koelle, The Book of Revelation is an emotionally stirring and thought-provoking way to experience this timeless narrative.
Messiah: Origin is a beginning, a foundation, the remarkable starting point for a remarkable life. Here is a graphic novel translated directly from the ancient Scriptures. Now see the Biblical narrative unfold visually, pulling together the four Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John into a single story.
The last book of the New Testament has become the first wave of a new, provocative, and accurate translation of Christian scripture. And it comes from the most anceint Christian tradition, Greek Orthodox Christianity, which has maintained an unbroken tradition of faith for nearly 2,000 years.
We now have an orthodox Christian translation of the most famous text in the New Testament, the Apocalypse. It is faithful to the theology of those Christians to whom the New Testament was originally written. Behind its rhetoric of doom and elitist ecstasy is a powerful vision of a spiritual truth. For the first time the Greek text's profound impact can be experienced in an English translation.
You will never think of the Apocalypse in the same way again!
Mark has spent most of his life engaging his mind with the poetic depths of things divine. It has led him on a journey filled with liturgical service to others, rich narratives, and an intense seeking after “meaning that quickens.” This quest includes over 30 years as an ordained Greek Orthodox priest, until he resigned from ministry in 2013 and married the love of his life. His love of wisdom – philosophy, biblical Greek, the art of translation, and story-telling remain undiminished.
These days he spends his time in the high desert breathing clean air, enjoying small town life, and answering the call of the sun-drenched mountain.
